The sensational story of WWII's Greatest Escape
This London premiere of the story made famous by the 1963 movie starring Steve McQueen, is to be staged in the round at the historic Alexandra Palace Theatre, which was itself a prisoner of war camp between 1914-1919.
Based on the true story behind the escape from the infamous Stalag Luft III prisoner of war camp, Tom, Dick and Harry (the names of the three escape tunnels of course!) will debunk the myths, honour the people involved, and tell the true story of one of the most daring escape attempts in World War II history.
With acrobatics, rousing music, and a script inspired by top secret information that was classified in the war archives until 1972, this is a funny, touching and truly inspiring story. Co-written by Andrew Pollard, Michael Hugo and Theresa Heskins and brought to the stage by the producer of the worldwide smash-hits The Play That Goes Wrong and SIX the Musical, book now for this extraordinary theatrical adventure.

Staging was incredible. Script followed the book and interject comic relief well.
Great play
What a wonderful play created on archive material from the National Archives. It was intense, fast paced and humorous. It even involved some of the audience as well. Such a shame for the actors that so many did not turn up because of the rail strike. It would be wonderful if it had a limited run in the West End. My first time to the "Ally Pally" and was on the fence about going having had to travel from Kent, but so wanted to see this play that was advertised via social media. So pleased I did. I can strongly recommend this play.
Strong acting. Nicely done play. Fantastic location. Plan to have dinner out on the patio before the play.
This show was really good. The actors done a fantastic job at telling the story and honoring those that lost there lives during The Great Escape from Stalag Luft III. Loved how comedy was also involved and then could be serious again within a couple of seconds. And interacting with the crowd made you feel more involved. If I get a chance I'll see it again.
